CORE Health Care teamed with leading experts in the fields of neuroplasticity and neuroimaging to create the CORE Health Foundation as a research initiative in 2006.
Through its partnership with CORE Health Care, the CORE Health Foundation is combining the science of neuroimaging with real-time treatment evaluation in a unique research initiative that offers new hope for recovery.
The Foundation began preliminary clinical research trials in the spring of 2010. By clearly mapping the connection between cortical regeneration and restoration function in the brain, the Foundation can determine immediately if a specific therapy is working to redevelop an injured patient’s brain. That immediacy allows for real-time adjustments in treatment or implementation of new therapies that can result in faster patient recovery.
The Foundation sees its research as a tremendous opportunity to treat not just brain injuries, but other brain conditions as well, including mental illness, substance abuse, dementia and aging. The Foundation also creates and supports public works that foster opportunities for people with disabilities to interact with the general public on equal terms, free of cultural stereotypes.
The CORE Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is working under the brand Resilient Mind to educate professionals, make neuroplasticity a household concept, help individuals and families to be better advocates for loved ones with brain injury and offer hope that survivors of brain injury can improve their life situation over time.
