CORE Health Care uses award-winning and entertaining computer exercises that expand peripheral visual attention. The Posit Science Brain Fitness Program, created by the inventor of the cochlear implant, works to improve auditory processing (listening) and memory. The program features computer-based exercises that are scientifically designed to improve the quality and quantity of the information the brain absorbs from the ears. This results in faster auditory processing, an improvement in working memory and increased production of chemicals in the brain that help it remember. Recognizing CORE’s innovative work in neuroplasticity, Posit Science turns to CORE to help test its programs in individuals with acquired brain injury.
